Summer 05 Day Hikes

Here is an assortment of photos from a few days trips we took over the summer. Seemed to curb the "missing Ontario" syndrome.

As cold as Memorial Lakes were, Heather needed her birthday swim!

On the way back from Memorial Lakes on Heather's birthday. It was such a beautiful day...

On the top of Heart mountain after a quite scramble after work.

Heather's intro to exposure therapy with Aric. No tears, and she came back alive.

Eventhough we were all bagged after the Bugaboos, we made a day trip up to Headwall lakes. Despite the weather and utter fatigue, we had a great time.

Bugaboo Bachelors

Let the tomfoolery commence!!! For some what of an unconvential bachelor party, Andy, Petes, Grant, Matt and I headed to Bugaboo Provincial Park for some well deserved adventure. It was one of the most beautiful and scary places I have ever been. We all had an unreal time and will never forget this experience. Our first route... Bugaboo Spire is on the right in the sunshine.

Grant with some mild exposure!

You can't see it, but if you look closely, Pete's just peed his pants!

A look back at Snowpatch Spire.

Looking up to the peak of Bugaboo.

Andy and I on top of the world.

Our second route up Pigeon Spire, following a long approach.
Matt and I on the way up Pigeon.

Mild look of terror in Matt's eyes!

It's too bad the peak was already named, we had some fantastic ideas!
